Instructions

Step 1

In a large pot, cook the beef/turkey meat until brown, then drain.

Step 2

Add in the onion and cook until translucent.

Step 3

Stir in all the cans and water, heat for 10-15 minutes on medium high.

Step 4

Mix in the rest of the ingredients.

Step 5

Bring to a boil.

Step 6

Let simmer on low for 20 minutes. The longer the better.

Ingredients

1.25 lbs ground beef or turkey

1 can light red kidney beans

1 can Ranch-style beans

1 can diced tomatoes

1 can green chilies

1 can Contadina brand tomato sauce

1 large white onion

1 cup of water (Add more water if it looks too thick)

2 Tablespoons chili powder

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

1 Tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon red cayenne pepper

½ teaspoon ground cumin

½ teaspoon cajun seasoning
