Instructions
Step 1
Prepare 3 cup(s) jasmine rice using your preferred method. I use the Instant Pot with equal ratio of water and rice and then 3 minutes pressure cook with a natural release.
Step 2
Heat 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil in the Dutch Oven and add the 6 clove(s) garlic to cook for 1-2 minutes.
Step 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the 2/3 cup(s) brown sugar, 1/2 cup(s) soy sauce, 2 tablespoon(s) sesame oil, 1 teaspoon(s) red pepper flakes, and 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground ginger. You can do this step while the beef is cooking in the next step.
Step 4
Add 2 pound(s) ground beef and cook until browned, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Step 5
Stir in the soy sauce mixture, 1 bag broccoli slaw, and 1/2 cup(s) green onion until well combined, allowing to simmer (with lid on) until the broccoli slaw is tender. About 10 minutes.
Step 6
Serve over rice and top with Toasted Sesame Seeds (optional).
